The five cards, worked through
Here is what the five cards say for the sample film diary on this page, a made-up year logged through October 2026:
- The count: 64 films on 59 different days, 4 of them rewatches; the first was Aliens and the latest Dune: Part Two.
- Month by month: January was the busiest with 9, then February and March with 8 each.
- By decade: released from the 1950s on, with the 2010s and 2020s tied at 12 films each.
- Ratings: 60 of the 64 are rated, averaging 3.8 stars (229 stars over 60 films), with Heat, Seven Samurai, Tokyo Story and The Social Network among the five-star films.
- Most-used tags: home 21, theater 15, with friends 7. With no tags, the last card shows your watchlist instead.
Each card is a 1080 by 1350 PNG with your year at the top, ready to post as a carousel.
Questions people ask next
Which films count?
Every diary entry whose watch date falls in the year, rewatches included. The count card says how many were rewatches.
Do I need a Letterboxd account?
Yes. The cards read the Letterboxd diary export. If you log films elsewhere, the cards can't read that file yet.
Why does my fifth card show my watchlist?
The fifth card shows your most-used tags when your diary has tags, and your watchlist when it has none.
Can I make one for last year too?
Yes. Pick any of the six most recent years with entries.
