Your cards
Each card is a 1080 by 1350 PNG, the size Instagram, Threads and Bluesky show without cropping. On a phone, open the card and save the image.
How the early Wrapped works
Your Letterboxd export holds your diary: every film you logged, with its watch date, release year, rating, rewatch mark and tags. Year Cards reads that diary in your browser, picks the latest year in it, and draws five 1080 by 1350 cards you can post. Change the year with the buttons above the cards.
Here is what the five cards say for the sample film diary on this page, a made-up year logged through October 2026:
- The count: 64 films on 59 different days, 4 of them rewatches; the first was Aliens and the latest Dune: Part Two.
- Month by month: January was the busiest with 9, then February and March with 8 each.
- By decade: released from the 1950s on, with the 2010s and 2020s tied at 12 films each.
- Ratings: 60 of the 64 are rated, averaging 3.8 stars (229 stars over 60 films), with Heat, Seven Samurai, Tokyo Story and The Social Network among the five-star films.
- Most-used tags: home 21, theater 15, with friends 7. With no tags, the last card shows your watchlist instead.
Questions people ask next
Is this the official Letterboxd Wrapped?
No. Year Cards is a separate free tool, not made by or affiliated with Letterboxd. Letterboxd's own Year in Review still arrives in January; this one is ready whenever you want it.
When does Letterboxd's Year in Review come out?
Press coverage of the 2025 edition reported it going out from January 2, 2026, more widely from January 12, to members who logged at least 10 films that year. Year Cards has no minimum: one dated diary entry makes a card.
Do I need Letterboxd Pro?
No. Free accounts can export their data, and Year Cards is free.
Why is a film I watched missing?
The cards count diary entries, which carry a watch date. A film marked watched without a diary entry has no date, so no year can count it. Log it with a date on Letterboxd and export again.
Does my export get uploaded?
No. The file is read on your device and nothing is sent anywhere.
